Kathleen Piercy is a Registered Physical Therapist and Certified Pilates Instructor with over 20 years of experience in rehabilitation. She received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from California State University- Long Beach (1992) and her Master of Business Administration in 1997 from the University of Phoenix. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). She received her Pilates Certification from Body Arts & Science International, Costa Mesa in 2002. She is recognized as a Gold Certified Pilates Instructor through the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA). She attends the annual PMA Conference for part of her continuing education credits which helps her to stay current in the Pilates field. She also keeps up with her requirements of continuing education for her professional field of Physical Therapy. Her passions in life are to help others and pursue God.
Alicia Ahrens is a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant with a strong orthopedic emphasis in which she graduated from the Professional Skill Institute in Santa Barbara in 1991. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science from Chapman University in 1997 and her Pilates Certification from BASI in 2001. Alicia is a good standing member of The Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) and The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). She is currently pursuing her interest in training women during their pregnancy. She has a special gift of blending her manual skills with Pilates knowledge and gets excellent results with her clients.
Amanda Wilhoit received her Pilates Certification from Body Arts, & Science International (BASI) in Dec 2007. Along with her passion for Pilates she is currently pursuing a degree in nutrition at CSU-Long Beach. Amanda is a good standing member of The Pilates Method Alliance (PMA). Amanda attends numerous Pilates, fitness, and yoga classes and brings her knowledge to the studio to challenge not only the body, but the mind also. She has a passion for learning and “changing it up” often. Are you ready for the “Amanda challenge”?
Susan Cloud is the latest instructor to join our Professional Staff. Susan was born with a passion for helping others. She was introduced to Pilates as a means of cross training when she was a competitive swimmer looking for an edge. After receiving her bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Barbara, she returned to her native Orange County and earned her Pilates certification from Orange Coast College. Also an avid yogi, Susan blends the practices of Yoga and Pilates, creating new depths to the movements during her balanced and challenging workouts. The ability to share her love of fitness and wellness, and to celebrate with students as they achieve their goals are among the many reasons why she enjoys teaching.
Janet is our Office Manager/Studio Assistant/Counselor/Extraordinaire Janet brings a wealth of knowledge and professional experience to the studio. She is the kind voice on the phone and the first line of contact when entering the studio. She goes above and beyond with everything. She is available to help get clients scheduled, assist with insurance question for therapy patients, or lend an ear to help with life matters. She is extremely intuitive and often has the perfect word when one needs it. Janet does much of the behind the scenes tasks and is greatly appreciated for all that goes unseen.
